Sheikh Boikary Fofana moved to the mercy of Allah
Sheikh Boikary Fofana, President of the Supreme Council of Imams and President of the Section of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, moved to the mercy of Allah on Sunday 23 Ramadan 1441 H, corresponding to May 17th, 2020.
Sheikh Boikary Fofana was born in 1943 in Abidjan, he pursued his elementary and preparatory studies in Abidjan before moving to Cairo, where he completed his high school studies. Then, he joined the University of Cairo, where he obtained a diploma in higher studies in economic sciences.
Besides, Sheikh Fofana, had a great role in organizing the Islamic field in Cote d’Ivoire, where he was active in many Islamic organizations.
Furthermore, he held a number of positions in the religious sphere, including the president of the Supreme Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs, Imam and preacher at the “Agayen Mosque”, and the President of the Ivorian section of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema.
Moreover, he presented a set of preaching and mentoring programs on the national television of Côte d’Ivoire.
On this painful occasion, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema extends its deepest and sincere condolences to all members of Sheikh Fofana’s family, the brotherly Ivorian people in particular, and all Muslims in general.
