As part of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema competition of the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran in its second edition, the sections of the foundation launch the elimination phase to select the qualified candidates participating in the grand final of the competition, which will be held in the Republic of Gabon in the early days of Shaaban 1441 h (late March 2020).

The elimination phase take place from 23 to 30 Jumada Al awwal 1441 H, corresponding to 18 to 25 January 2020.

During the first phase of the competition, three winners will be selected from the three categories of the competition, the latter goes as follow:

• The memorization of the entire Holy Quran according to Riwayat Warch
• The memorization of the entire Holy Quran according to a chosen riwayat by the candidate
• The recitation (tajwid) and memorization of at least 5 Hizb of the Holy Quran
