HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, accompanied by HH Prince Moulay Ismail and President of Zanzibar, Ali Mohamed Shein, performed the Friday prayer at Achoura Mosque in Zanzibar, the United Republic of Tanzania.

In his sermon, the Imam said that residents of Zanzibar have been honored by the visit of the Commander of the Faithful, HM the King Mohammed VI, Sovereign of the Kingdom of Morocco brother, may God preserve him and grant him long life.

After the prayer, HM the King donated 10,000 copies of the Holy Quran to the authorities in charge of religious affairs in Zanzibar.

Upon his arrival at Achoura mosque, the Sovereign was greeted by Vice President of Zanzibar, Seif Ali Abidi, the Mufti of Zanzibar, Sheikh Saleh Omar Kaabi, and members of Zanzibar’s Council of Ulama.
