The Position of Imarat Al Mouminine in the System of Common Religious Constants: Origins and Correlation
During the second day of the third scientific communication session organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema under the title: The commandery of the faithful and its place as a referential in the preservation of common religious constants, Professor Azeddine Idrisi, President of the local council of Oulema of Marrakech, stressed that Imarat Al Mouminine is rooted in the Ash’ari school through the study of the great imamate and its related beliefs.
Professor Idrissi cited the evidence of Imarat Al Mouminine from the Quran, Sunnah and Sunni doctrines, which refer to allegiance and Imam’s conditions, such as the Quraichi condition (Descendants of the prophet). In addition, he pointed to the rule of the Imam’s actions and is entrusted with the care of the religious and secular interests. With regard to the relationship of Imarat Al Mouminine with Sunni Sufism, he stressed that Sufi People are still adhering to the Commandery of the Faithful and following the Imam.
